Event Overview

The Spring Star Ball is an American and International style ballroom dance championship sanctioned by the World Dance Council and the Canadian Dance and Dancesport Council, (W.D.C. and C.D.D.S.C.)
It not only qualifies as a world ranking competition but has been awarded the status of the "Ontario Provincial Open championships".

The Spring Star Ball was founded by David FitzGerald and Mary Adams in 2006. "We wanted to create something very unique and different from what we see in Ontario today. Hosting this event at the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington has given us the atmosphere that we were looking for; including Salsa and West Coast Swing along with a dinner, professional showcase, and dance gives it the diversity and entertainment that no other competition holds; Having it as the official WDC Provincial Championships gives it the uniqueness and prestige that it deserves. Adding in world class adjudication elevates it to the professional level that is required. All of these elements together creates a world class event that is equal to no other and something that we can truly be proud of."
